Trail Hikers United National Division of Excursional Recreation (or THUNDER) is the official-sounding name for a big group of friends that like to go hiking together all over Southern California.
The road less traveled.
When my wife had the idea of starting a hiking group, I knew it would be a fun excuse to spend more time with our friends, all while forcing us to get some fresh air and exercise to boot. What I didn't know is that it would turn into a totally fulfilling personal design project.
What started as a simple logo developed into an entire identity system, complete with "merit badge" pins that can be earned for each hike participated.
