A new docuseries about design.

We're currently binge watching Abstract: The Art of Design.

The 8 episode documentary series by Netflix covers a variety of interesting design topics such as illustration, footwear design, stage design, architecture, automotive design, graphic design, photography, and interior design. Each episode focuses on one rockstar designer in their respective field as they immerse you in their process and reveal the various creative challenges they face.

It's a very well made and fun to watch show. I love how they sprinkle in little bits of surreal visual effects inspired by each artist. I also think the series does a great service to the public by explaining "artistic temperament" and the need to get even the smallest details right in order to create a quality product.

Even if you're not the creative type, you'll feel inspired to pick up a sketchpad and make something after watching any of these episodes.
